Obit: Mrs. Ahlberg Dies At Age of 83 Years
Former Resident Brought From Braham, Minn., for Interment Here
Mrs. Eva Ahlberg, 83 years of age, and well known to many citizens of Worthington where she made her home for twelve years, died Friday, November 12 (1926), at the home of her son, Enoch Ahlberg, near Braham. She had been bedfast for the past two months.

The body was brought to Worthington Monday for interment, after a funeral service conducted by the Rev. George E. Bostrom at the Swedish Mission Church, of which the deceased, and her husband who preceeded her in death in 1919, were members and her children resident here. The minister spoke briefly from a text in Revelations 21:25, "There shall be no night there." There was considerable attendance of old friends, in spite of short notice and a stormy day. The four sons of Mrs. Ahlberg were her pall bearers.

Born November 7, 1843, at Ohr, near Wexio, Smoland, Sweden, Mrs. Ahlberg lived in her native land until 1899, or well into middle age. She became the wife of Jacob Ahlberg in 1865, and bore him nine children, of whom seven survive, the eldest and youngest dying while yet of tender age.

Mr. and Mrs. Ahlberg, upon reaching the United States in 1899, proceeded at once to Grand Rapids, Michigan, which city was their home until 1908, when they moved to this city, where Mr. Ahlberg died in 1919. From that time until her death, Mrs. Ahlberg made her home at Braham.

Converted in 1877, Mrs. Ahlberg and her husband lived consistent Christian lives until the end of their days. They were members of the Swedish Mission Church here from the time of locating in this city. The spiritual heritage they have left is highly prized by those nearest and dearest to them.

Surviving children are Carl Ahlberg of Ogden, Ia.; Andrew Ahlberg and Mrs. C. A. Allen of Grand Rapids, Mich.; Mrs. J. Kraus of Milwaukee; Enoch Ahlberg of Braham; George Ahlberg of this city and Mrs. Otto Martinson of Skidmore, Texas. There are 31 grand children and one great-grandchild.
