Sons John, Peter and Joseph joint executors. Witnessed by Josiah Chapin, Samuel Read and Grindal Rawson - presented for probate 29 May 1712.

- Deacon Peter Holbrook, son of Thomas (2) Holbrook, was born 6 Sep 1656, died 1712-1713. He settled in Mendon, where he inherited lands from his father, most of which was afterwards included in Bellingham. He was an important man in his time. Peter Holbrook of Mendon deeded to his son John in 1706, 60 acres near the east side of Beaver Pond River, through which land ran the Country Road (Hartford Ave). Two of John's brothers were Peter and Eliphalet, and these were three of the 4 Mendon Holbrook families set off to Bellingham. In 1712, Peter Sr. deeded to his son Peter about 70 acres near the County Road and Beaver Pond River.

Peter Holbrook, son of Thomas and Joanna of Braintree; b. there 7 Aug 1655; m. 1, Alice ____, who died 29 Apr 1705. 2, Elizabeth Pool, who, after his decease, m. Robert Ware of Wrentham, and d. 1724. Peter HOLBROOK was principal heir of his grandfather HOLBROOK. His father left him lands in Mendon which is where he settled. He died there in 1712, ae, 57. In his will, dated 16 Jan, 1711/12; proved 29 May 1712 (Suff. Prob., 17:464), he speaks of his wife, without giving her name; also of his eldest son, John, sons Peter, Joseph, Silvanus, Richard, Eliphalet, William, Samuel of whon the last four were under age; also of daughters Joanna and Mary. The tesator says that his father left him land in Braintree; and his uncle William, deceased, sold him land in Mendon. All the sons, above enumerated, resided in Mendon, and in Bellingham, which was taken from Mendon. All had families, and from them have sprung a numerous posterity in that vicinity and elsewhere.
