- George HEARNE came to the vicinity of Horton Parish by 1612 when a child was baptized. He was excused in 1619, 1620, and 1621 for non-appearance in court. In 1630 he was sworn on a jury. In 1639 he was named overseer in the will of John Hearne, Jr., a fact which strengthens the statement of the pedigree that John and George were brothers. !NEHGR Oct. 1956; p.253
