He lists his father was born in Vermont and his mother in Massachusetts. His name appears on a list of Jamestown landowners along with his son, in 1892 "Gregory, Bradley=Section 17, Farmer, Jamestown. Gregory, Philo=Section 17, Farmer, Jamestown."
