  	In his will dated 3 September 1678, James Barker "of Rowley in New England ...born in Stragewell in Low Suffolk in Old England ...weak of body" left to beloved wife Mary the things she brought with her and use of "the room we live in, with firewood ready cut for the fire from time to time, her rent at Ipswich and twenty shillings yearly for life, to be paid by my son Burzillai in work or as she shall see need to call for it, not money, and if any agreement appear of our Contract at marriage, that it be fulfilled equally by my executors." He made bequests to eldest child Burzillai, daughter Grace, sons James and Nathaniel, and daughter Eunice Watson.
