Notes |
- Thomas Cushman lived on a large farm which originally was in Plymouth, but when Plympton was set off in 1707, the division brought his farm within the limits of the new town. Thomas became an elder of the Congregational Church in Plympton, and his wife, Abigail became a member. [2]

- 1664: Thomas Cushman, son of Thomas, was ordered to pay ¹5 for carnal copulation with Ruth Howland, the daughter of Mayflower passengers, John and Elizabeth (Tilley) Howland, whom he later married. The court observed in this case the sin had occurred before marriage, but after contract. It would seem an unusually long contract. The child, Robert was born October 4, 1664. Counting back nine months, the "carnal copulation" sin would have occurred in January 1663/64, but the marriage did not take place until November 17, 1664.

- Her maiden name is TITUS. She was a widow, having been married to John FULLER. He and his second wife were members of the Church at Plympton. He lived on the west side of the highway that leads from Plympton meeting house to the north part of the town, and "Colchester Brook" ran through his farm, which contained a large quantity of land.
Abigail had two sons, John and Abial Fuller, age five & three respectively, who probably became members of the Cushman household.
