- Arthur was born in Chicago. As a boy he lived in East Chain, MN with his parents and brothers and sister. Then he moved back to Chicago where he worked for the railroad. After 1915 he moved to the Sparta area. He was a private in WWI. After Nellie's death he remarried Aretha, lived in Muskegon.
