- Poles settled in New Netherlands and took an active part in the affairs of the Dutch colony. Included is "Olbracht Zeborowski, the founder of the well-known family of Zabriskie. He came to New Netherlands on the ship "de Vos", dateed 31 Aug 1662.
Albridt Zaborowskij witnessed and acted as interpreter on a deed date 15 July 1679 from the native Indians to John Berry and Michael Smith for land in East New Jersey.
