Notes |
- Letters of administration were granted to John's widow in Suffolk Co, MA the 10th day of the 9th month 1675 for herself and two children. No further record of his family has been found, and the "History of Milford", gives no authority for listing John as a son of Benjamin. Since he was married in the same town and on the same day as James, it is likely that they were brothers. John Albee of Braintree, lost a servant, Francis Brown, by death in 1640, was present at a town meeting in Braintree 19 Dec 1640 and at another 19 Dec 1641, and was made a freeman of Braintree 10 May 1642 or 10 May 1643. The John Albee who witnessed a land conveyance in Charlestown, MA, in 1654 may be the same man. !ALBEE FAMILY RECORDS, Robt. S. ALBEE; Washington, DC; 1920
