- Captain Samuel White was made a freeman, 23 May, 1666 and was chosen a deputy from Weymouth, 1679. Samuel and Mary had no children. They settled in Weymouth near the fore river on the spot of land the House of Cotton Tufts, Jr. now (1804) stands.
