Notes |
- Jonathan inherited his father's estate, and lived in East Medway till his son, Captain Jonathan, came of age, when he removed to Medfield, and resided on the homestead owned in 1888 by the heirs of Gershom Adams. Jonathan was appointed in 1742 to administer the estate of his brother Jasper, but did not complete the work on account of the fatal disease which came upon him, cancer in the face. Jonathan Adams was the first person in Medfield who is positively known to have held the views of the Baptist denomination. !History of Medfield, Tilden:288
